Two young girls Alex and MacK, both sisters. Had the worst lives you could imagine. A dad who was always abusing them and drunk, and a mom that was always too scared to do anything for them. One day a show came on in 1977. Candle cove.....the two young sisters never would leave the room were the TV played that show. They would stay there for hours on end watching it with there brothers Mike and Eddie.....until they got lost, in the show.....Mike and Eddie went crazy and saw them in the show......Eddie wanted to see them again. He felt bad and did a few things that made Mike snap.........

But eventually all her big brother's had left without looking back and it was just her, her twin Wes and their mother whenever she was around. They got along just fine for the next two years, they somehow managed to get through the tough times together and they thought it would stay that way, the two of them against the world. Until their mother got pregnant and they had the responsibility of raising their baby sister at the age of 11. They pulled through and it was now the three of them against the world. They believe they can get through anything and they hope that's true when suddenly the brothers who disappeared years ago start to show up looking to mend their relationship with the twins who hold a deep hatred for their older brothers. Can they fix the broken relationship with the twins and build a new one with their new baby sister? Or is it too late? --- It's better than it sounds.

Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
