A young boy named Kevin Waters is stuck in the hospital with an incurable disease know as Vortex Malignancy. No one knows when his death will be, but they know it will be soon. One night, Kevin hears the glass shatter and gunshots fired. His mother tries to save him but it is too late, she is shot. All of a sudden, a bomb explodes and sends Kevin flying out of the hospital window, and into the ocean. Kevin gets sent to 2090 in the middle of an outbreak of creatures that are very similar to zombies called "Whispers". He meets a group of teenagers that take him in and the huge adventure has just begun. Will Kevin be able to survive and find out what truly happened the night of his mother's death? Outbreak: The Silence Before

However, the peace of this day is shattered when a freak accident in the school leads to a rapid outbreak. A student from another grade interacts with a rat infected with dangerous chemicals and rabies, causing a chain reaction. That student becomes the first zombie, and the infection spreads quickly through the school campus and the surrounding barangay. The sounds of chaos and screams echo in the hallways, setting off alarms among the students who, at first, think it's some sort of prank. But as the tension grows, they soon realize that what they're witnessing is no joke. With the school's phone lines down and no way to call for help, the students barricade themselves inside their classrooms. The realization of the outbreak sets in slowly as they face their fears and prepare for whatever horrors await them outside the walls.
