A young boy named Kevin Waters is stuck in the hospital with an incurable disease know as Vortex Malignancy. No one knows when his death will be, but they know it will be soon. One night, Kevin hears the glass shatter and gunshots fired. His mother tries to save him but it is too late, she is shot. All of a sudden, a bomb explodes and sends Kevin flying out of the hospital window, and into the ocean. Kevin gets sent to 2090 in the middle of an outbreak of creatures that are very similar to zombies called "Whispers". He meets a group of teenagers that take him in and the huge adventure has just begun. Will Kevin be able to survive and find out what truly happened the night of his mother's death?
