Hello! My name is Autumn Haynes and this is my story about how I started writing more and how my story, Girl in the Shadows came to be. This is the first time that I am telling anyone about my past and this means a lot to me. Please don't hate me since this isn't really a story more like a look down memory lane. So, enjoy reading some of my online journal entries with me.

Safe and Sound: The Short Memoir written by Elliot Parker. I've always written stories and music about my personal life. It was the only thing that would heal my scars and wounds. However, there was always a hidden layer of truth that I tried to shield from everyone in order to protect myself. Everything I write tends to be about my thoughts, feelings and emotions but in a way that I could keep them private. This essentially led me to bottle it all up and throw it far into the water. And then I was pulled underwater where I was going to have to face every part of my brain and heart in order to swim through the storm I became trapped in. This story was written about my life in ways I've never explored with writing. It was excruciating to look at my deepest insecurities, the feelings for a boy who never loved me back, and the most traumatic events I've had to experience, in the eyes. Writing a memoir that was originally for an assignment, turned into something more for me. It allowed me to revisit the past and try to explain them in my words, instead of rumors being spread faster than a forest fire. Sometimes you don't know you're hurting until you're being forced to sit in a locked room with your past. Realizing just how much pain and suffering I am still going through was tough, but it opened my eyes and allowed me to release the words I've been holding hostage for months. These four chapters were written about moments in my life that I've never shared with anyone before. I'm ready to tell my story. Mix that with Bar's possessiveness and overprotective behavior, some interesting situations will definitely arise. Adding in the fact that Clementine had to tutor Bar for the rest of the school year and his almost instinctual urge to be apart of her life, they are bound to get close. Bar swears, Clementine hates it. He fights, she glares while bandaging up his knuckles. She reads instead of eats and he refuses dinner until she joins him. He is rude and she ignores him until he apologizes. Both, easily, frustrate the other while simultaneously falling into love. Broken boys are the only ones that can fix themselves so will this broken boy manage to do so before he drives away the one girl who wiggled her way past every barrier? My little sister and brother would be lost without me here. But now I could care less. A cold breeze blew through my window waking me up from my thoughts. I looked over in the corner and saw that nothing was there. It was odd because I felt like someone well more like something was there. It had to be my imagination getting the best of me. I laid back in my bed and closed my eyes. Then all of a sudden I got the feeling I wasn't alone. But the really strange thing is that even if there was someone in here with me I felt safe. Jordan. I watched her as she slept. In fact I have been watching her since she was born. I have waited half a century to find that one person. I think I have finally settled on her. She was my choice. I know. After being in as many relationships as I have you know things. I felt my fangs tingle. Her blood smelled so sweet. Her heartbeat was steady and strong. Unlocking Passion
Excerpt This story I haven't been able to fit into a category I've ever read before. A story from a normal genuinely happy girl, getting broken to the point she is not recognizable anymore falling in love like everyone else can in this world no matter how broken anyone is to label her. Paired with my character falling in love I dive deep into the sexual experiences that have opened up her passion in ways the world has never been able to. Experiences that you'd only see in a movie. Throughout this story I add questions that I ask myself on a daily basis about life and also questions I feel like we should all ponder along with talking about daily.
