Wendy est une adolescente de dix-sept ans se retrouvant en dernière année au lycée en France. Seulement, après quelques erreurs, quelques gros problèmes et le fait que sa mère ne puisse plus supporter son caractère violent, elle est envoyée aux États-Unis, dans un coin pluvieux à la frontière du Canada : La Push.
La peau pâle, les yeux gris très clairs, des cheveux noirs de jais, très petite, Wendy, surnommée As est une cousine bien éloignée de Sam Uley. D'ailleurs, c'est bien chez lui, que l'adolescente sera envoyée.
Entre son amertume, sa rage et son trop plein de lucidité, Wendy devra rassembler tout son courage pour faire face à tout ce qu'elle cherche à fuir... Et surtout pour leur faire face.
