Based mainly on a real event, this love story follows a man named Raymond Robinson who was born October 29 1910 beaver county in Pennsylvania. In June 18, 1919, Raymond was 8 years old when he climbed a bridge to see if a nearby tree had a birds nest in it. Beside the tree was a power station,The volts which ran through the electric wires were roughly 1,200-23,000 electric volts, Raymond slipped from the tree and landed chest first onto the wire. The book shows how Raymond struggled in his every day life and how he frightened the entire town with his disfigurement and most importantly how he struggled to love a girl he could never see.
