Ash fell from the sky.
I watched silently as the downy flakes drift through the air.
Leisurely. Careless. Free. The puffs of soot fell like black snowflakes, descending upon the curious city that lay beyond the thick glass window.
They drifted in hidden dark corners, blowing in the breeze and curling in tiny whirlwinds over the cobblestones. They seemed so uncaring.
    What would that be like?

Amelia was seventeen years old and had not once ventured outside her quaint abode. She seeks adventure and heroics just like in her leather bound books. But soon she shall discover that the cheesy novels of perfect romance and action, may not be what she had first thought it to be. After a mysterious death she is forced to leave her home and discover the danger that awaited outside. The danger that proved her entire life was a lie...

This book is curse free, so those of you who don't like swear words, no worries! This book hasn't got any.

"He seemed like a puzzle to me, and I really liked solving puzzles. But somehow, I don't think that I would ever be able to solve this one." Amelia Heart, with her large smile and her infectious laugh, is what most people would think has the perfect life. They would watch as she went back to her beach house, as she went out of her way to stop and chat to her neighbours, as she would get the perfect grades. She was everything you wanted to be, and yet nobody had gotten close enough to her to understand her life in this small town at all. When her plans of leaving suddenly change, and she is forced to start attending the local school, her life takes a route that she hadn't accounted for. A new group of friends, a chance at a normal teenage life, even a potential love interest - things that Amelia had never even thought about happening after everything she'd been through. But happiness is only temporary in her life, and she knew that. It wasn't surprising to her when her past began to catch up with her present, it was simply a good thing that it had taken as long as it had. Things start happening in Amelia's life that simply don't make sense, even to her. They do say you should always keep an eye over your shoulder, especially when you know you're being hunted, but for Amelia, even an eye in every direction wouldn't be enough. Time begins counting down, fast. Did she want to involve her friends? Could the new people in her life be trusted? She wouldn't have long to make a decision. Not before her world comes blazing down, the final battle on the horizon. Tick, tock, Amelia. You don't want to be late to the party when you're the guest of honour. COMPLETED 06/11/20

When he dies, she is destroyed. But when he returns from the grave, Sherlock is confronted with something he never expected. "Do you know what I think?" she said. "Of course, I know what everyone thinks," Sherlock countered. "I think you've gone your entire life feeling nothing. I think feeling nothing has made you the brilliant mind that you are today. I think you felt nothing for so long that you assumed it was because you couldn't feel. But you can. You just don't want to. And I think you hate the fact that I make you feel something."
