Yugi Motou is in his final year of high school and the only thing on his mind is studying to get into University to be an archaeologist. However, on the night his best friend takes him to a party and abandons him, he ends up being saved by the most unlikely person, a killer!
He soon finds himself mesmerized by the dark stranger Yami and ends up wrapped up in a world he never dreamt he'd be apart of. But going down a dark road can take you places you've never wanted to go and bring up horrible secrets better left buried. Will this crimson eyed stranger be worth all the pain? Can someone really love a supposed killer?
There are several eventual pairings in this story: prideshipping(yamixseto) is suggested, puppyshipping(setoxjounouchi), puzzleshipping/blindshipping(yugixyami), Bronzeshipping(malikxmarik), tendershipping(ryouxbakura) are the main pairings of the story. There will be hints and suggestions at others but not the focus.
This will be a story featuring gay, mentions of lesbians, bisexual and heterosexual pairings. If you do not approve of love is love I caution you to avoid this story.

The sort of theme of this story is romance, drama, some comedy, angst, dark themes, and trauma/abuse. If you feel it ends up getting too mature let me know and I'll tag it differently.

Yami is finding it difficult being away from everyone and now has returned to being Atem. A few years has passed and Yami finally has a mirror into Yugi's world and is able to see what he is up to. Unfortunately it isn't going well with Yugi as he is not the happy teen he used to be. Yami has had enough of watching and begs the gods to let him return and they do, giving him the body he used to have.
