At Mount Forrest Academy, the beginning of the school year means one thing: the race for student body president. Anyone who wants to be anyone in politics runs at Mount Forrest Academy and May Parker is no exception. She comes from a long line of politicians; her dad's a senator, her mom's a representative and every one of her siblings are on capitol hill in one way or another. In her family, politics is the standard and going against that would mean being disowned.

May is in for a long month and a half as she embarks on the campaign trail, vying for the coveted family honor of being the student body president of Mount Forrest Academy. Lies, mudslinging and an unexpected rivalry categorize the opening of May's senior year and at the end of it is one question: will she come out on top or will she lose herself in the mix?

The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. Victore Academy boarding school is a lot of things. To the outside world, it's the heaven of schools. For some students, it's an experience they'll never forget. For others, it's the place to start their careers. And maybe for a few, it's the peak of their lives and really as good as it's going to get for them. And for me... well, I'll need a bit more than this to talk about that. But before you step in, here's a few things that everyone makes note of: 1. The students have secrets. And money. It's hard to tell what more of, honestly. 2. Don't get a room on the West Side of the girl's dorms. The birds around that private property lake house downside from campus don't stop chirping at 5AM. It's unpleasant, to say the least. 3. Avoid Mr. Labadee's classroom at all costs outside of lessons, especially past fifth period. It's better off if you're left in the dark with this one. 4. That asshole from Spain that terrorizes all the young freshmen is not hot. However, girls do make note of the fact that he works out post seventh period and right before first, near the track field. 5. The Victor's Tournament happens every year for all the senior year students. It's a pretty big deal. 6. And I think Armin Rivers is probably going to kill someone before he wins it (and it's probably gonna be that Spanish asshole). cover by soundthealarm
