Visenya is a young grounder who was being held prisoner by the mountain men where she was experimented on and tortured by her captors. In the event of her capture her twin sister was murdered, butchered by the mountain men and Visenya was forced to watch. Forced to listen to her sisters screams and helpless to do anything other than wish they were both dead. She was starved and neglected by her captors for years but still managed to escape and find her way home. Instead of a warm welcome from her tribe and family she was met with anger and disgust. She was practically disowned from her tribe for being weak after the loss of her twin sister took a toll on her and though her body grew strong once more her heart remained sad and empty. Her tribe saw this as a weakness and passed her over for leadership that she had previously been hand picked and raised for. She spent weeks inside hiding from her people who feared her for her thirst for violence and explosive temper. But even more for what the injections the mountain men had given her. After her return home Visenya almost died for the chemicals in her blood but she recovered. And when she did she was left with ability's others could only dream of. Now nearly ten years after her return she lives out in the woods rouge from her family and tribe, and its in the woods she find a ship that crash lands to earth bringing sky people with it. And from the ship comes a young man that Visenya is immediately drawn to. From the moment she laid eyes on Bellamy Blake her live changed and her path was set for better or worse and she's thrown into the lives of the foreign sky people and their survival. The longer she stays with the Sky people the closer she grows to Bellamy and the harder it is for them to be away from each other. Will Visenya stay to help the Sky people and her Bellamy or will she return to the Grounders and fight against the children from the ship who invade her people's land.
