Meet Kade Flanders, Radio Show Host. Successful, adventurous and personable, he seems to have it all figured out. Enter Beck Sinclair, Harvard student. Desperate to determine some direction in his life and stuggling to find inspiration, he's everything Kade is not. When chance brings them together, they soon face the problem of Beck's biggest assignment to date: a full-length screenplay.

With the deadline looming ever closer, the two of them must work together to answer a single question: what makes a life worth a movie? Through aimless drives, late-night coffee runs, a few subversions of the law, and, of course, a great soundtrack, they'll discover that it's what goes on behind the scenes that really makes a masterpiece.
