This story follows the young prodigy Grant Alan, a scholar turned telekinetic, surviving in a strange new world after the colossal science vessel, the Halfpace, passes into a future very foreign to him, populated by anthropomorphic creatures that have dominated humanity after a planet-wide war. To ultimately find out what happened to the last vestiges of humanity, Grant must use his wits, friendships and newfound power to navigate this new and dangerous world while an ancient, malevolent force slowly corrupts its new anthro leaders. I wrote this because I was partly inspired by "A Man In A Beast's World" by @GhillieCamo. Admittedly, my head was kind of in two places when writing this. Part of me wanted to create this really thoughtful, slow-burning, thriller sci-fi story experience with lots of lore and things to mull over, and the other half wanted to make a human x anthro romance story, dripping with provocative scenes, dialogue and drama. I'd say the story has both, but more of the former, which I think is ultimately better than if it was the other way around. I don't claim to be the best, or even good, at storytelling, and there are definitely a couple issues I have in my story, but people have been telling me they really like this story. As of March of 2025, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's Terms Of Service/Content Guidelines; All characters depicted in sex scenes are consenting adults. This story does not promote self harm or violence and does not include illegal sex acts of any kind. Any included descriptions of the former (self harm or abuse) are for narrative purposes only and are not portrayed in a positive or promotional way. If you read the whole description, props to you. Anyways, I hope you like my story and will give it a chance.

In the modern world, humans are the ones in control and live all over the planet. Living on all continents along with various animals ranging from various animals both on land air and water. With the planet consisting of humans, their imaginations range far and wide creating various things for them to enjoy. Of course, some of the imagination can lead to rather odd fantasies, which can gather a lot of folks. The technology has progressed rather far along with the lifestyle of humans.....until a disaster struck. A famous technology company had the intent of creating a teleportation device allowing them to travel to the other side of the plant in a matter of seconds. The initial test seemed to be going rather well with multiple people easily going through it but an unseen electric surge changed everything. The portal started to go out of control causing one of them to exploded while the other one started to suck in everything around it. As one of the individuals was sucked through the portal, his body was reverted to that of a newborn child with all of his memories intact. After exiting the portal and landing safely in a thick forest, he saw that he was in the dead of night. Scared and confusion filled him as he had no idea where he was but what came the next morning utterly shocked him. After falling asleep upon arriving, he woke up and found himself in an odd house that he didn't recognize. As he tried to figure out where he is, the door opened as who entered was a woman with long dark hair......and a set or rather long bunny ears. Not only this, there were two other small infants sleeping next to him with one of them clinging to him. What is this world? Who are these people and what are they? Are there any other humans out there besides him? The answer lies with the passage of time.

With the impossible size of the universe, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that there is life beyond just humans out there. Countless things have lived and died yet one stands above the rest due to the sheer amount of time it has lived. Almost since the beginning of the universe itself has it existed; a biological monster that would destroy and consume anything in its path. Planets, asteroids, entire stars even; whatever got in this things way wouldn't stay in the way for very long. It was a repetitive existence until one day the abomination met its match in the form of an absolutely enormous star. It ended with a draw that sent the abomination rocketing off in a random direction away from the place it had been consuming for so long. It traveled for millions upon millions of years before finally coming to a stop just outside of some odd new planet brimming with life. Along the way through space, it gained awareness of its surroundings so it was now able to choose what to do with this odd planet. Consume or Explore . . . Scarred by a cataclysmic meteor strike, humanity struggles to rebuild amidst the wreckage. As civilization begins to take its first tentative steps forward, a bizarre twist of fate unfolds. Animals, exposed to a mysterious chemical agent released by the impact, undergo a radical transformation, gaining humanoid traits while retaining their primal instincts. Communication proves to be a barrier in the early years of their appearance. Humans, fearing for their species, ignited a war for dominance. Yet, as the conflict rages on, it becomes increasingly apparent that the scales are tipping in favor of the evolved animals. Humanity finds itself on the brink of extinction and, recognizing the futility of the conflict, a fragile peace is brokered between the two factions. Yet, despite the truce, tensions remain high. Interactions between what came to be called furries and humans are limited. Both sides bear the scars of the conflict, and conflicts still flare up sporadically, reminding all involved of the fragile balance that hangs over their world. Amidst this uneasy peace, our protagonist must navigate a world forever changed by the clash of two civilizations, grappling with questions of identity, survival, and the ever-shifting dynamics between man and beast.

What happens when two heavily interconnected societies suddenly go to war out of nowhere? What happens when that war lasts for over 6 years? What happens when one side of the war is completely cut off from their home world? Kalimaria is a planet that was discovered a long time ago. Through ancient portal technology the planet was discovered by humans and earth. The inhabitants of this planet were a race of anthropomorphic alien creatures that resembled what most people in the modern age call "anthros" or "furries." Humanity, despite everything, managed to coexist and even integrate this highly intelligent alien species into our society and also help bolster the Kalimarian world's own technological advancements. For over 80 years the two species coexisted with only minor skirmishes between humans and Kalimarians occurring. That is until the war happened. A war that many question the true motives behind. Was it to protect the sovereignty of the Kalimarian species and its people? Was it to gain power and influence over people of the planet? This no one could truly answer. The war however started and all of humanity on that planet was stuck there as the portals that once allowed free travel between the two worlds was shut down. Scott Caine, a once proud member of the U.S. Army was now stuck here with the forces that had been cutoff from earth and the United States. A young man who had been forced to do things he shouldn't have had to do. A man given little choice in what life brought him.
