My life was great. I had a loving father who protected me and a nurturing mother who adored watching me grow. But then my world gets turned upside down when my daddy commits suicide and my mother is left to tell me how depressed he was. How alone he felt. And how I'd learn to communicate with him in the afterlife.

Well, what would have made me leave my one month daughter in front of the orphanage door , as her mother what pushed me to the extent of leaving her,not being there to see her first sit,crawl,walk ,hear her say her first words hoping it would be related to me, hear her call out to me when she cried, stay up at night with her singing some lullaby,read her some stories, tell her that there was a prince charming who would love her as her father loved me but where was I , staying far away from her, God knows how terrible a mother I was leaving her without even looking back. Shock. Once the shock wore off, I was confused. Then angry. You made me so angry because I felt betrayed by your choice. Your choice to leave me, leave me all alone in this dark world. I felt so angry and betrayed by your choice to desert me when you were all I had. Then I accepted the fact that you were no longer here because that's just how it was and how it had to be. I had to learn to accept the fact that life was now me without you and that was a damn hard pill to swallow.Complete

There were two of us. Both drowning in each other's pain. I got lucky and swam up to the top grasping for air. She sank to the bottom and there was nothing I could do for her. She may have drowned but I feel like I did. And now I'm breaking. Because without her why am I even living?Complete
I Remember
I decided to write this memoir for my kids. Kalina, Braylon and Bryce. I wanted them to know how I grew up and what all happened when I was a child. Maybe one day they can sit down and read this little book and remember MOMMA. I want to also apologize if this memoir offends any family member, every one has their memories of events in their lives. Let me tell mines as I lived them and as they were told to me by other family members during my lifetime. This book is filled with traumatic yet funny memories of my upbringing. It's a tell all from what I went through, in my eyes not anyone else's. Hope you enjoy reading this as I've enjoyed writing it. It's not meant to seek pity, instead it's written to shine light on the real problems of society. poverty, single moms, the damage due to drugs, incest, abuse and most of all, origins of brokenness.
