I was always there. The girl behind the camera. I watched from behind that camera as my whole world was torn apart. They were my best friends, the only thing I looked forward to seeing every day, the only things in this world that I loved. That is until everything went wrong. I'm writing this because it needs to be heard and if anyone ever does find this then they need to respect the people they learned about. This is the story of us, the story they would have told to anyone if they were given the chance to. No, actually, this just a story of them, the way it needs to be told.

There will be spelling and grammar mistakes, and I apologize for that.

She just wants to finish her final year of high school, numb to the world, while learning to cope with the trauma she's endured. Carter Marquez. Newly single after being dumped by his girlfriend of two years. After losing his dad in a car accident he's fallen apart. The list of people he trusts is short, he hates letting people in. He's constantly trying to make up for his mistakes of the past, trying to find a new purpose in life. When the two of them collided, they instantly took a mutual disliking to each other. Misunderstandings and a dash of alcohol set a flame between them. Sophia hates the snarky remarks and stupid nicknames that leave his mouth. Carter thinks Sophia is just another trust fund brat. Soon their rivalry begins to dissolve and they learn that sharing the pain of their past can form connections they never thought to be possible. ... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

They were intriguing and we all wanted to be apart of them. But of course, they weren't exactly open to letting others in. Overtime peoples wanting to be apart of them lessened or went away all together. But mine never did and I knew exactly why. It was her. The way she held herself and the mystery of what not only they held but what she held to. I figured it would just be an infatuation from afar. But oh how I was wrong.
