Mark is an unusual person who likes to be by himself. He doesn't trust people very easily, so he locks his heart away. He is 17, but he is small for his age at about 5'4", so people mistake him for an 8th/9th grader when in actuality he is a senior. He also has white hair and bright blue eyes. He is an orphan and has been moving to different foster homes almost each semester because he shuts people away before they can even get close to him.
James is a werewolf who lives with his pack in a seemingly normal town in Alabama. He is 20 and will become the Alpha when he turns 21. He teaches at the high school because he wants to help the pack until he is Alpha. He is about 6'7" with black hair and smoky grey eyes.
There is very little chance for any regular people to move into their town, but when one person of James' pack dies, Mark and his foster family move in right afterwards. Now everybody in his pack has to act normal around the newcomers. Will somebody let something slip? And what occurs when James finds out about what is happening to Mark?
