This is my take of how the Joker came to be. The Joker I chose to bring to life is of Heath Ledger's. I did a few research and used The Killing Joke's origin story but with an added twist.

I'll be mentioning characters from Gotham television series though. A couple of the circumstances in the story are inspired by a few of the Gotham episodes.

I would be writing my characters without dwelling on describing them physically. I wrote the characters hoping my reader would already know who and how they look like. Much of the discussed instances here are studied. I did my research on the geography of Gotham, the history, and referred to the comics or the television show Gotham.

This book is NOT like the Joker fanfic I've read here on Wattpad! (I've only read a few though, but still.) It wasn't intended to be a Joker fanfiction, but it turned out that way. Prologue: You and Jason were best friends as kids. When you became teenagers, Jason realised he was in love with you, but didn't have the courage to tell you. Then suddenly your parents got a new job in another town. After moving and him becoming distant you realised you were actually in love with him. When you had finally decided to confess your feelings, your mom gave you the worst news of your life. Jason allegedly killed himself after he killed his father who had murdered his mother. You were heartbroken. Jason ran away from his past and ended up in Gotham. He became one of the most feared and ruthless people in the country, the infamous Joker. Years later, you move to your new job to work as the anchorwoman at Gotham Tonight News.
