The only name she was known by was Nuria, the word for fire in the ancient language. She lived a life of pain and tears. The only people she ever saw were the king and his dungeon master when they came to torture her. And all she dreamed of were the flames, a fire that terrified her more than the tools of her captors.

Kegan and Byrn had been searching for their own kind for years, ever since most of the fire breathers had vanished from the world. When they sense the presence of one like them who is imprisoned, they are determined to set her free.
