I knew I was different when I was a curious ten-year-old girl who sneaked out of home just to see the world I have been protected from. I managed to establish that I am different from the other kids in the neighborhood.
One: I was never allowed to leave the house by myself like the other kids.
Two: I was not a human, or a werewolf, or a shifter, or a vampire, or other creatures like the kids I saw who were playing together.
That was the moment I realised that my father has been keeping a very big secret from me.

Zombie princess
The Government took me away from my family when I was 8 years old, they said I wasn't Zombie enough to be considered a Zombie. They had my name changed from something original, but that let's face it doesn't match anything about me, to a normal unique original name. Most zombies did have normal human like names except for me. Now, I'm a human. No one trusts me at all, I don't need a watch thing, but everyone still thinks I'll eat their brains.
