Maid Marian the daughter of a carpenter and social climbing monster, dreams for adventure and somewhere to belong. Seven years after she left for Cambridge, Marian finally returns to her beloved Loxley and many surprises await. Her brother is now an outlaw, the taxes are killing her town and she finds her self in the middle of a love triangle, in one corner, her childhood nemesis and the other the new Lord of Loxley. Will love conquer all? Or will her mother's greed for power push her into the marriage from hell?

She only looked back when she heard footsteps coming along the corridor. The man she saw pass by froze her to her seat in horror. The red and black of the sheriff's cloak flashed away. He was spying on them! Roberta sat for several seconds replaying it in her mind. What if he heard what she'd said about her 'guests'? Allan was a sitting duck now! Stupid stupid! Prince John would become suspicious of her now and he'd never let her out of his sight. She had to do something to throw him off the scent. This was a follow on to my first ever attempt at fan fiction, Marian's Lessons in Love and I wrote this in 2010 having watched the BBC series of Robin Hood This story is set somewhere in the early part of season 2 of Robin Hood and is inspired by Guy & Marian. These are my own ideas on what should have happened between them. No copyright infringement intended - I did not create these characters I have just borrowed them for this fiction. This story starts five months after Marian's lessons in love. Guy and Marian have been married for 9 weeks. Guy has met in secret with Robin three times to discuss how they can overpower Vasey, but continues to work for Vasey as his Master at Arms.Complete
