Caught At The Carousel At Midnight

I ran faster than lightning through the rain, pulling him along behind me for him to keep up.
"Come on! The cops are almost catching up!" I yelled.
"I'm TrYinG aS fAsT aS I-"
I hear a gun shot go off behind me and Wilford falling onto the ground. I stop running immediately and turn back to him.
"FUCK! I'VE BEEN HIT!!" he yells out in pain laying on the cement road holding his wounded side.
"NO!" I rush back to him and drop to my knees sitting next to him. He grimaces and groans trying his best to keep still putting pressure on his wounded area. I cup his cheeks as I leaned down closer to him. I could hear the sirens getting closer and closer.
"We can't give up now! We're so close to getting to the pink carousel! Wilford, please stay with me!!" I cry out as my bloody tears ran down my cheeks and fell on top of his own.
He placed a hand behind my neck and pulled me down closer to him. I close my eyes as I felt him give me a weak kiss as the cops surrounded us and yelled at us to pull away from each other and put our hands behind our backs. I kiss back harder not wanting to leave him and accidentally cutting his bottom lip with my sharp fangs making it bleed.
Blood. That's what got us in trouble in the first place.
I am Blood.
