Catching Cricket

It is said in Greek myth that man was originally created with four arms, four legs as well as two faces. Fearing their power Zeus had them split in two, condemning them to spend their lives wandering the earth in search of their other halves. -Plato For Garnet it was love at first sight. From the moment he first saw her there was no question that he had found his other half. Though he didn't fully realize it at first he did know that Cricket Flint was like no girl he had ever met. Cricket is shy, smart and rather spend very waking minute of her days reading than anything else. The kids at her school harass her. She figures its because she is socially awkward. What she doesn't realize is that it is more because they are intimidated by her stunning looks. When Garnet Mathews saunters into her English class she doesn't know what to think. Does she keep to herself and pay no attention to him like she does anyone else? Or does he work his way under her skin and finally give her a taste of what she had been looking for in all those books she reads?
