You know that feeling you get in your stomach when you here glass break? Or when you get the wind knocked out of you? That's how it feels. Only this time, it stays for days, weeks, and even months. The feeling when suddenly, your cheeks aren't sore from laughing, rather, crying. When your eyes sink in and they feel 10 pounds heavier. The feeling of losing your best friend over someone stupid. But most of all, the feeling of guilt.

My true life story of suffering from a rare autoimmune disease of the liver, its diagnosis, prognosis, treatments, its debilitating impact on my life and how I learned, and am still learning, to cope with it day to day. Hopefully, this'll help someone dealing with something similar, because there is, in my eyes, not much worse than long term pain and long term illness, especially when there's not someone nearby who understands its debilitating nature.
