Frostbitten crown

In the far north in a kingdom called Leale, where the streams run cold and the ice bites your skin. Where the wind shakes houses and the snowflakes dance in the bitter grey days.

Leale has been known for it's huntresses. And the most prized of all are the ones wearing cloaks of blood, the red hunt who serve the queen. An arrogant girl named Valentia, who was named after the first huntress of Leale long ago, wants to instead of holding a graceful bow, but a hefty sword. To feel the cold iron grip cut into her palms, to be the first woman in her kingdom to not hunt, but fight in battle. Where the white becomes red and the land is warm of bodies.

But to make her dreams come true, Valentia must fight through the angered culture of her traditional world, shedding the same frost.

And a young princess Athira, who carries the burden of becoming queen. After finding out that a neighboring country has been spying the court and plotting war, inside the palace walls everyone is panicking and rumors arise. Where the red hunt is being ordered to not just kill animals, but any spotted immigrants roaming the woods of ice.

And after a great attack through the panic of many, these two very different girls meet. An impulsive warrior and a bland politician, fire against ice. And with the world melting in heat, they must preserve the cold. To try to instead of thawing their kingdom, but to harden it. To not let the crown of frostbite melt.
