All Louise Canton wanted was to meet her favorite band-Pentatonix. They've helped her through some tough times-the bullying, the countless hours of radiation and chemo, the risky surgeries, and the hair loss-all due to her Stage Four Ovarian Cancer. She has a 17% survival rate past twenty, and she's only fifteen. She has nobody, only the nurses in her hospital. Her mum is constantly overseas working as an architect and marketing consultant to afford bills. Lou doesn't see the point in going out to see and meet people, no matter how much her nurses urge her. There's no point.
And, so, she sits with her headphones on, playing her band, staring at the overrated Christmas decorations on her walls and trying to do schoolwork. She does wish she had friends, but it's not possible. Nobody wants to be friends with a dying kid. Nobody wants to get attached to someone they'll lose. That's why she told the wish granters to pull her from all contact with them if she started getting emotionally attached.
But, sometimes tenors and baritones and gifted singers will just steal your heart.
"So Scott, who are you gonna choose, Avi or Mitch?" Connie asked.
Scott bit his lip. "I choose..."

"P-Papa, what h-have we d-done??? I m-miss Daddy..." Maddie said crying into Scott's shoulders.
