Aquata Aldwyn lives with her parents and siblings in a nice house by the shore. Until the age of sixteen, there hadn't been much trouble in her life, but the week leading up to her birthday had been full of peculiar events. The hypnotic music coming from the shore drove her mad, only increasing her family's worry. Hyperion Heights welcomes a new transfer student from Europe. The boy looks like he knows Aquata, but he steers clear of her, as if she were some all powerful evil tyrant. What's up with that? After returning from a strange day at school, a screeching voice shatters Aquata's mind and she collapses. Her parents find her unconscious, muttering something about "The Land of Oceana."
