Aquata Aldwyn lives with her parents and siblings in a nice house by the shore. Until the age of sixteen, there hadn't been much trouble in her life, but the week leading up to her birthday had been full of peculiar events. The hypnotic music coming from the shore drove her mad, only increasing her family's worry. Hyperion Heights welcomes a new transfer student from Europe. The boy looks like he knows Aquata, but he steers clear of her, as if she were some all powerful evil tyrant. What's up with that? Clear and beautiful as it may be, danger lurks beneath the waves...

Snapping her eyes open as she heard a distant boom that echoed for miles around, completely alone in the middle of a lightning storm. Which was strange because Evie didn't remember swimming to the ocean's surface to brave the cold.
