Camilla Roberts has always been alone, but she's used to it. She was born into a torn family and purposely separates herself from the cliques at school. It was her fate. Her loneliness gets the best of her sanity and she takes a turn for the worse. Her emotions get out of hand; her thoughts become dark and dreary. What is a teenager to do besides talk about their pain? But Camilla is alone. Camilla starts her own blog on tumblr, only wanting to seek salvation from her dark thoughts. Copying image links from weheartit, she posts dark pictures full of emotion and pain she never could have conveyed herself. She even earns herself followers. One day, though, someone with the username "phant0mized", sends her a private message. Each word full of criticism and disbelief. Although the start was horrible, little did Camilla know that this would be the beginning of something beautiful.

"What's that?" The boy quickly brought his hand to the girl's cheek, softly brushing over the purple skin, determined to not hurt her. But she still winced slightly under his touch. "Nothing." Her voice sounded broken and scared when she pulled away quickly. She didn't want to face him like that. The boy's expression softened immediately, his eyes full of worry. "Was it him?" "I tripped and fell down the stairs." "Why don't you leave him?" When she looked at her best friend, with so much sadness and concern, paired with anger for the boy who caused her all this pain, in his eyes, she felt her heart shatter. "I love him." He shook his head slowly. "No, you don't. You love the idea of him."
