I had always lived a life of lists. To do lists, to remember lists, goal lists, you name it. Lists were my way of feeling in control, of staying organized. They lowered my stress level and made me feel better in general. So when I found out I had cancer, naturally, I made a list. What would you do if you were dying, knowing that cancer was slowly taking your life from you? For me, the choice was easy – to make a list. But this isn’t just any list – no, this is a bucket list, a list I made of things to do before I die. Maybe the hardest part of dying will be trying to accomplish my life’s goals before they even have a chance to begin.
