Karev, a planet with a past as dark as it's future, whose citizens hope for a more promising future even as warships clutch the planet overhead. It was inevitable that the war would reach the planet, bringing much darkness and isolation.

It's been 4 years since the planet has been enslaved to the Aark and Cooper has had a front row seat to it all. Cooper lives and works with his stepfather and stepbrother Luca and Ian, who see Cooper more as a burden than family. As the war worsens, his hopes of getting off the dejected planet just seemed like an unrealistic dream.

With his father abandoning him at an early age, the passing of his mother left Cooper more alone than ever. Leaving him some nights to dream of her, which gave him a little glimpse of what life use to be like before the war. His dreams were one of a very few things that let him escape from the actuality of the nightmare he faces everyday in Kerev.

Alice, Cooper's only friend on the Kerev, was just as adventurous and bold as she looked. She lived with her father on the only junkyard on the planet. Despite what was going on around her, Alice had a more optimistic look on things and never hesitated to crack a wise joke. She shared the same dreams of getting off the planet, but it all seemed unlikely until one day the opportunity arose for the both of them to leave Karev and their dark pasts...
