Evelyn is 16, since the beginning of the apocalypse she has been with her brother Jake. They've been in one group but not after that. They made sure to steer clear of groups after that. On the brink of death they come across Alexandria. The people let them in and they begin to feel like family. After her brother is lost on a run she feels like nothing matters. She begins a relationship with one of the boys there. He makes her feel alive again. When a new group comes she befriends the son of their leader.
QUICK WARNING: THERE IS SEXUAL CONTENT IN THIS BOOK. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED RIGHT BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY HAVE SEX AND WHEN IT'S OVER. But the book is pretty good I think so please read it. There's two parts, you don't have to read part one but it will help with some references. But you don't have to read part two if you don't want that to happen. I really hope you like it.
