The Blade is entrusted with protecting the packs from humans, as he conceals our borders and hides our presence. But everything has a price; his only request: that ten she-wolves go into the dangers of woods to battle their way back out. Every year ten go in, and no one comes out. For years, Lyra has been running-from the darkness of her past, from the hunters who see her as nothing more than a weapon, and from the scars left by those who betrayed her. A lone wolf in every sense, she's learned to trust no one and rely only on herself. Until she crosses paths with Rowan. As the alpha of a powerful pack, Rowan has spent his life searching for his fated mate. But when he finally finds her, Lyra is not what he expected-a fierce, guarded woman haunted by secrets she refuses to share. Drawn together by an undeniable bond, Rowan vows to protect her, no matter the cost. But the forces hunting Lyra are closing in, and the truth of her past threatens to destroy everything. To survive, she must decide whether to let Rowan in and face the danger together-or keep running, even if it means breaking both their hearts. In a world where trust can mean life or death, can love be enough to save them?
