Before I could comprehend what was happening, I slowly leaned towards him and gave him a gentle kiss on his lips. It only lasted a couple of seconds, but it was enough to tell him that he wasn't alone. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone!
