How could a normal day at work turn into an absolute nightmare...?

If I hadn't have turned up that day, then nothing would have happened. I wouldn't be in the position I was in right now.

My hands twitched behind my back, the rope that wrapped around me was rubbing against my skin, leaving certain places burning from how much it had rubbed against me when I was struggling. My eyes were blurry, and I could hear the dripping of water not too far away, getting quieter and quieter each passing second.

The back of my head began to throb painfully, and I swore I felt something cold crawl over my bloodied legs. I shakily leaned my back against the cold, stone-like wall, my breathing heavy as I was encased by a never-ending darkness. It felt as if I was being strangled, as if a pair of invisible hands were teasingly wrapping around my neck, gradually getting tighter with each given second.

It didn't take long for me to register...

Those hands were real.

The House At The End Of Yellow Brooke Street

15 parts Complete

An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house." "It's a haunted house." I said nervously. "Maybe we should trust our parents on this, they told us that it isn't safe for a reason." "You wimp." Diana joked, she wasn't serious; it was just to get me with them and of course she knew that it would work. "It's fine if you don't want to Luna." Lucas said, at least he was cool about it. "I-I'm not a wimp!" I stumbled on my words. "Yey!" Diana said happily and rushed toward me with her arms open. "I'll buy you McDonalds after this." I hugged her, even though I wasn't happy. I looked at the time. 12.20am
