James is an ordinary kid, with an unordinary secret. Blonde hair, blue eyes. He lives in the only city left on the planet, after The Great War, a nuclear world-wide devastation, caused by an uprising of the military against the government. This happened two-hundred years ago, and the radiation is still active, so everyone is held inside a 30-foot wall made of concrete one metre thick. 
 A strange man comes up to James one afternoon on his way home from school one day. He tells him that he has to get out, before the man is dragged away and shot by the Redhaven Border Force.
