Edward Connors is a awkward guy straight out of college and in New York City. He also has strong feeling for Elsa Matthews, a girl he knew in high school. A few people stand in his way. Allegra Halifax, Elsa's badass best friend who finds Edward to be a nuisance; Angel Creed, Elsa's nature-loving artist friend who find Edward to be a waster of time; and Esmé Abernathy, Elsa's fashionista friend who is repulsed by Edward (mainly for his taste in fashion). 

Besides Elsa's closest friends, his only friend and one of his roommates, Tristan Paxton, wants more than a friendship with Edward. Lance Bryson, Edward's other roommate, find her too innocent for Edward and wants her for himself while Damien Bates, the other roommate, finds Elsa to be "toxic to their manly ecosystem". Edward has to get past his demons and Elsa's protective angels in order for him to love and stop chasing happines.
