In 281 BCE, in the small, Indian kingdom of Kalinga, a new Queen is rising to power. Only being 16 years old, Aadhya has to grow up fast and protect her kingdom from the bruiting forces of the Maurya Empire. But since society won't let a girl rule over them, Aadhya has to also win over her kingdom's trust. 
*Tiger Queen is a fictional biography. It is telling the story of a made up the King of Kalinga (in this case the Queen of Kalinga), since there is no historical evidence of the actual King of Kalinga. While some characters and events are real, most of the story is fictional.
