The Tale of Mikoto Hiyama
A highschool yuri (girls-love) romance.
Mikoto is a timid, book-wormish second-year highschooler living a rather normal, quiet life in Tokyo, alongside her athletically-gifted best-friend Shiori. But things start to change when she discovers an online journal on one of the school-library’s computers. The almost-lyrical descriptions in the posts immediately capture her imagination, and start to lead her down a road of discovery.
For a shorter, meek young-woman that has only read about the concept of impassioned affection in dusty old tomes and lurid romance-novels typically reserved for bored housewives, Mikoto finds herself in the middle of her own epic tale; one rife with shattering self-realizations, the agony of heart-break, and the boundless courage that a person can only experience when wholly, and soulfully in love.
(CONTENT WARNINGS in big, bold letters! This novel contains sexual content containing depictions of nude bodies; tobacco use of 17 year-olds; naughty language full of dirty curse-words; and deals with topics including bullying, bigotry, sexually-alternate lifestyles, depression, suicide, and various religious conflicts. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a love-story.) (I’m really not trying to break all the content-guidelines, I swear.)

She hated riding the subway.
It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end.
Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another.
Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game".
It was either that or die.
To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better.
With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes.
Yep. She really hated the subway.
