An exchanged student from U.S. to Japan. Her hopes of having to learn Japanese and watching Anime without the need of subtitles is finally coming true. But she expected the language to be that easy since she has learned the language in advance. Her focus of studying about Japan has been distracted from the school's volleyball team, Karasuno. They stole her attention from seeing how good they are as a team itself. One day the manager of Karasuno decided that she would need an assistant and asked every student she can. The reader, somehow, to be one and another girl decided to come along. Even when it was hard for the reader to understand Japanese it didn't stop her from learning and working hard. Though, she only has a year to spend time with them.
