Paper Cut

Aura finds herself lost in the maze of London. With her life still in moving boxes in the corner of her new flat, a useless literature degree and less than twenty pounds in her bank account, she spends her days wandering around her new, low-paying job at a local bookstore and trying to combat a possible alcoholism. At night, she loses herself in sexual encounters with men who satisfy a fleeting desire. Her inability to find what she needs is dangerous and self-destructive. When she wakes up in Matt's bed - a former military man who has lived in a world of darkness since the accident that left him in a wheelchair -she grows closer, despite their differences.

And in the shadows of the remnants that periodically torments both, they form an unspoken bond. But the lines between contentment and complacency blur. Things left hidden resurface to tear their world apart, and before they can repair the damage, the pain is summoned again. Faces, past and present, gather around them to weather the storm, but soon they are left with only the wounds.
