Still undergoing editing through the early chapters - I noticed they tend to drag on. Arion Michalis. The name evokes emotion through certain circles - the kicker who's never missed, the asshole who can't let go. For him, it is just another reminder of his mistake - and his failure to move on. But when a strange meteorite lands in a campsite during the last dregs of an obsolete tradition, the world shifts around him - forcing him to recover contact with...her. Madison Rhodes knows the living legend. She hears the whispers in awe - and the ones her friends produce. Idiot, they call him - and much worse. The scary part is that somehow she doesn't doubt him. So god knows why she went on this last trip - she even brought backup for the first time since their parents stopped coming. Then it hits, and her life is changed forever. Thanks again! - Nicholas

Every legacy has a cost. Every storm has a beginning. When a tragic event shatters their world, a group of brilliant, broken young minds are thrust into a hidden war far larger than anything they ever imagined. What begins as a search for answers soon unravels into a chain of events spanning centuries, planets, and ideologies. At the center stands Fred, a genius inventor- and Max, a force of terrifying intellect and conviction who sees the world as rotten to its roots. One believes in fixing the system. The other believes in tearing it down. As Max's manifesto unfolds through hijacked airwaves and coordinated chaos, Fred and his team find themselves caught in the crossfire of ancient tech, cosmic powers, and the ghosts of Earth's forgotten past. From secret NASA cover-ups to a lost war fought beyond the stars, every clue leads back to an artefact once built in myth, powered by blood, and now buried where no one should find it. But fate doesn't ask for permission. With humanity on the brink and loyalties fracturing, the Retaliants must decide: Do you retaliate to protect the world you know? Or fight to create the world it should've been?
