Exclusion Zone
In the year 2086, the world is a graveyard of ash and radiation. Seventy-four years ago, an unexplained solar surge triggered a catastrophic event known as The Meltdown-a chain reaction that detonated every nuclear reactor on Earth. The first to go were Chernobyl's aging reactors, followed by the rest, plunging humanity into an age of fire, famine, and unrelenting nuclear winter. In the ruins of Seattle, now one of the most hostile wastelands on the planet, Cody Sarge emerges from a bunker that was once his family's salvation. This is my first countryhumans story so it's not that good. East Germany knows he shouldn't be alive, yet here he is, living with the man who raised him. He never really questioned it though. He was just happy to be alive. That is until his adopted father starts struggling to heal himself as quickly as he used to and East starts to worry. Since the 1st of January, the world is in shambles. Almost all life has been eradicated by nuclear bombs and radiation, except for a few individuals that survived the war in bunkers. Two of these people are the former Lieutenant Simon „Ghost" Riley and a young medical student, who end up in the same bunker near Manchester, together with a large group of other evacuated civilians. When this safe spaces order collapses and a desperate fight for survival breaks out, the two of them meet by coincidence and form an alliance. Maybe together, they can survive the end of the world.
