This is the life of a girl who thought she was a typical teenager - different, but typical...until she wasn't.

Heaven is not shy, but she isn't overly outgoing, either. Things are looking up, though. There's good news in the family, she's doing well in school, and she really couldn't be happier. Then her world is shattered. In the blink of an eye, her parents are dead, and she is left with an older brother and sister who turn away from her in their time of grief.

She turns to someone who helps her through her own time of grief. Alec Mason. He's kind, thoughtful, and handsome. His family is big and overwhelming, but she finds she enjoys them, and things are getting better until she crashed into another bombshell, and she learns that the monsters of her past are not really in her past.

They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal.
