They wouldn't have to work jobs. They wouldn't have currency. They wouldn't have to deal with challenges. They could live their lives the way everyone wants to. But there was one catch. And that was that the government made it a law that nothing bad could ever happen. No crimes, no arguments, no fights. The citizens would all be kept calm and they would be kind to each other. Obviously, this failed. Crime broke out. Everyone was fighting each other and the society the government promised turned into a disaster. So, the government decided to do something about it. They decided that everyone who rebelled against them or did anything bad would be put into a perfect android body which was devoid of doing anything wrong. But, they would also be drained of their freedom and emotion. They would be slaves to the government. The majority submitted to the government's orders. But some didn't. In the future, science has found a way to re-animate the dead and make them pliant servants for the wealthy. They buy the units for 10,000 for a base model. More attractive units sell higher as well as the more physically fit the model is the higher the price. The units are used for anything and everything their owner wants, from household work to administrative duties, to even being sexual companions. They are each programmed with a hard drive in their brain that works like a computer and allows them to have a quick mind and agility, as well as nano machines in their body to repair any damage that can occur with normal usage. There are some people who still view the units as a dead body and have trouble interacting with them in their daily life. But most of the population is too poor to even afford one so this problem is left to the upper classes that can buy the units. For some, poverty is worse than death. For one Porcelyn, death is just the start.Complete
