"You've heard the tale of the Dread Wolf, da'len? It is time you learned the whole story." Tales of the gods had followed Avery throughout her entire life with the Dalish. But even so, she never fully believed the tales, always felt that there was something the tales left out. So when the last thing that kept her there was gone, she left her clan in search of more Little did she know that the path she would walk would lead her straight into the claws of the Wolf. A/N I do not own Dragon Age Inquisition (sadly) or any of the characters except Avery and The Herald and except if stated otherwise, all artworks used do not belong to me. Fair warning: I do plan to end this book in a tragedy, so read at own risk. But even so there will still be a lot of sweet and happy parts mixed into the sadness.

Why me? I was no one, a Dalish mage sent to spy on the shems Conclave. I wasn't fit to lead anyone! Yet, with the breach threatening the world and so much of what happened missing from my memory I had to stay. I had to fight. A slow burn Cullen/Lavellan Inquisitor fanfic. Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Age or it's characters! I am also taking quite a bit of freedom with the story, so things will be a bit different but the overall plot will be the same.
