"Yeah, Illumi wants her to find a husband." The girl replied as she stared at her friend seriously. "But I know her, she would only want the strongest to marry her."
"The strongest, hmm~"
He stared at her from a distance, she was pretty, that much he would admit. But looks wasn't something the "Magician" really looked for, although it was an added bonus in his favour. What he searched for was power, and the people that possessed it so he could simply destroy them in the end.
"Her name is Katsumi Zoldyck, she's Illumi's younger sister." The girl continued to explain as the jester slowly began to look disinterested, he sensed nothing from her.
It was until an applicant had tried to poison her, and she had politely declined, that a slow blood lust began to seep from her.
"You want to meet her?"
"Yes~ ♡ I would love too."

Illumi is given an unusual mission for an elite assassin that he is. Find and bring home the daughter of a tribal leader from an extremely secluded land far to the north called Terradmira. Why was he given this task? Who is this girl? He will soon find out the role she will eventually play in his life and the trouble that comes with the seemingly limitless power she possesses. The Terradmirian girl is not an average Nen user, nor has she paid much attention to it. What was not mentioned in the mission details given to Illumi is that she is the reincarnation of an ancient being with immense power. This being has existed for centuries, only to be reborn every hundreds of years. Each reincarnation has all of the memories of the ones before. Being overwhelmed and confused by these memories, the girl finds that she is unsure of what to do and what her purpose is, causing her to go on the run. The long haired assassin and the girl are in for a surprise upon completion of the mission. Once they return back to the Zoldyck manor, the real plan is revealed and the two learn of the real situation they are put in. ****** This is my first time writing a fanfic. I chose Illumi because I feel that there aren't enough Illumi x reader stories out there and that he is a very complex character. I am always open to any input you may want to offer or if you just want to say hi and show some support. It begins as a type of origin story for you and him both. You guys are growing up together and you are the only person alive that gets to knows him so well. It also helps that you look almost exactly like his dead sister. Eventually he will become like an older brother to you. He takes care of you and gains your trust, and you his. Though, as your story progresses and you near the age of 18 you find yourself thrust into totally new circumstances whilst taking the Hunter Exam... Also, Hisoka dosent call you "sissy" or "sister" anymore, instead calling you "Love". You have enough self respect that you'd never even think about dating a clown, who also happens to be your coworker, confidant, and best friend? Right? WRONG.
