Romance
Aksel Schneider is an eighteen-year-old German who lives alone in an abondoned farmhouse in Karlsfeld, Germany. He is a painter who barely makes a living and relies heavily on the land surrounding him. Aksel is content living alone, but little does he know his life is about to be turned upside-down. One rainy night, fifthteen-year-old Ehren Bechler stumbles upon Aksel's old farmhouse with a serious gunshot wound. He rushes over to his friend's house, Christofer Ackermann, on his horse, Blitz, to seek medical attention. While performing surgery on the boy, Christofer notices something about Ehren. He has different colored eyes. The Nazis are surely after Ehren for his abnormality. Will Aksel decide to hide Ehren and keep him safe? Or will he turn him in to the Nazis?
