Twenty one year old Nevaeh Monroe lives with her boyfriend of four years, Kyreece Jackson. Within the first days of meeting one another, they couldn't get enough of each other. They were young, inseperable and thought that this fairytale love they were experiencing was going to last forever. Then something inside of Kyreece switched. He stopped showing Nevaeh love and affection, instead, he resorted to violence to express his frustration towards a cause that was unknown to Nevaeh as he had stopped opening up to her. He changed so quickly, that Nevaeh could not believe what she was witnessing. She believed that Kyreece would change back to the loving, caring man that he once used to be. But this change has not been witnessed by Nevaeh yet. He doesn't show any emotion or resentment in what he has been putting her through and it is breaking Nevaeh. He has mistresses... And Nevaeh can do nothing but hope that he finally wakes up and sees what he has. He has her. She wants to get rid of him, she knows he is not good for her and that one day, something will go horribly wrong. The problem is, she's in love with him and she feels that one day, something will change. Keep reading to find out if Nevaeh ever gets Kyreece back to the way he used to be, and if not, how she copes with the loss of her childhood sweetheart.

Violet Nevaeh never had a real childhood. Her so-called parents were cold, cruel, and controlling-always telling her she wasn't enough, punishing her for the smallest things, even forcing her to starve. She grew up bruised, quiet, and scared... but somehow still holding on. Then one day, everything changed. They died in a car crash-and she felt nothing. That's when she found out the truth: they weren't her real parents. They had kidnapped her when she was two. Thrown into social care, Violet learns she has six older brothers-rich, powerful, and dead serious about protecting her. But there's a catch: they're part of the mafia. Now, she's stuck between the life she escaped and the one she never saw coming. Can she learn to trust again? Or will the past keep chasing her, no matter where she goes?
