The government discovered happy pills, which made the nightmares go away. Sadness, anger, guilt and dissapointment didn't exist any longer, at least in your dreams. But that effect would slide more and more into reality every time you took the pills. 

Now, people can't feel emotions anymore. Only happiness is left, which may seem like a dreamworld. But it's the opposite, it's Hell. 

But Mark has no clue how it feels. His demon won't let the pills do their job, and he has to pretend that he's happy. He thinks he's the only one living in this hell with a demon by his side. But boy, was he wrong.

Jack can't remember anything as he woke up in an unfamiliar place. He is known as just another prisoner among many. The castle is a place where no one has ever escaped.
