Life and Death: The War's Border Line
Alfred D. Jones, a former soldier in the US Military, had to leave his job due to family issues. In the year 2049, during World War III, a devastating invasion occurred, resulting in the tragic loss of his entire family, leaving him alone and stranded on the battlefield. Seeking refuge, he sought solace in the depths of the woods, where he remained hidden for more than a year. However, fate took an unexpected turn when he was discovered by Ivan, a Russian Military Captain. Ivan, despite his secret reservations due to his focus on the Cold War and the Ukraine vs Russia conflict, urged Alfred to join forces with him in the military to combat the German forces responsible for the invasion. Initially hesitant, Alfred realized that he had a duty to his country, America, and reluctantly agreed to join the fight. The Hazards of My Chosen Profession (on hiatus)
Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
