What if that was all your gravestone read? That wouldn't be enough for Julia.

She wanted people to know she actually did something. That she accomplished something. She wanted to be somebody. Or something. At least something else.

Not like every damn woman in this town. They were all the same; grow up racist and with way too much attitude, marry their high-school sweetheart, have kids, go to bridge club every Thursday to bitch about the women not invited, get an alcohol problem, not give a shit about their husband's affairs. And that's just it.

That wouldn't do it for Julia. And she was gonna do something about it.
