Orion and Nicolette live in a world where all children share a birthday and people are lynched for stealing pennies. Both brought up in the same city, but live completely different lives. Orion is a street artist with a flare for rebellion. Nicolette is an Upper-East-Sider with a disregard for authority. Both rebel for different reasons; both could die for different reasons. The only question is how far they're willing to go to bring down Labor Day. It could cost more than just their lives. It could cost them their city.

"You were set to marry my father's heir. My oldest brother," She picks up a cup, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, he has died. As second oldest, it is my duty to fulfill my father's wishes." I'm still utterly confused. She takes a sip, "You will marry me." Ruth Foster was ordinary, or so that's what she always believed. Her story wasn't anything special. Dead Mother. Dead Father. Dead Uncle. Ruth hasn't expected much from life, only disappointments, and tragedy. She had no clue how right she was, until abducted by none other than a psychopathic woman, one who kills just because she can, and who goes by the name Orion King. Ruth is forced with two choices. Either marry Orion, or face death.
