Despite initial fear, the villagers accept Kael, and together they strive to bridge the gap between their world and the human world. They offer aid and magic to the nearby village of Foxglove, fostering a fragile alliance. However, prejudice and fear still linger, leading to conflict and Kael's full transformation, revealing his Kitsune form.
